I'm big on taking adventures so with college looming, it's important that we remember to live and not just focus on school, school, school. Sometimes you just need to kick back and see where life takes you. All the pictures feature me proving this can all be done in one summer ;)
1) Risk Your life
"Do one thing a day that scares you." - Eleanor Roosevelt. Ok so maybe not everyday, but at least once this summer, you should do something that gets your heart racing. Whether it's base-jumping, bungee jumping, or even skydiving - it's important that you remind yourself exactly what it means to live. Life is short, so why not jump out of a plane? I went skydiving and it was the best decision of my life. A once in a life time opportunity that I plan on doing again.

2) Rock Climbing
I highly recommend going to a rock climbing gym at least once this summer. Its a great way to stay in shape as well as train for the mountains if you ever find yourself near any. Rock Gyms can be find all across the country so I'm sure finding one won't be tough.

3) Visit a Beach
Fortunately, I live 10 minutes from a beach, but if you aren't as lucky, I recommend finding one this summer. There's nothing like spending the day with the sand between your toes and the fresh ocean spray on your face.

4) Scuba Dive
Scuba diving gets its own category because there is honestly nothing like it. Once you submerge underwater and immerse yourself in the world beneath the surface, you really do see life differently. Scuba is also another great sport that works your body while you have a great time. I swear time passes so much quicker underwater because once you go under, you never want to return to the real world.
5) Run a 5k
Okay so I know it doesn't sound ideal but running 5ks are a great way to get the family together and take part in a community event. I personally think Fourth of July 5ks are the best and there will no doubt be one taking place near you. Just another great summer time activity that is a great work out and really makes you feel good.
6) Attend a Sporting Event/Concert
With the recent addition of the Orlando City professional men's soccer team to the MLS, I have taken up an addiction in attending their soccer games. Their home stadium in Orlando, Florida isn't that far from me so every chance I get, I find myself at their games. Sporting events are a great summer activity as they are great to attend with friends and can actually be pretty inexpensive. Another great way to get out of the house.

7) Travel
If you do nothing else this summer, at least be sure to travel. Traveling is the best form of education and the best way to gain life experience. Whether it's a 1 hour drive to the next town or a 10 hour flight across the Atlantic, just get off the couch and go see the world. Do it while you're young and reckless and see the world as such.
